Curriculum and Professional Development

Department Responsibilities

  • Alignment of the district curriculum with the State Standards
  • Professional development for paraeducators, teachers, and administrators
  • Alignment of curriculum, instructional materials and professional development

Our focus is to communicate clear standards and achievement goals to instructional leaders and staff so that all students are able to reach their full potential. We believe that an aligned K-12 curriculum along with quality instruction and focused classroom assessments must be in place in order to provide a meaningful and rigorous experience for all of our students. The Curriculum and Professional Development Department works with all departments and teacher leaders to select quality resources for the classroom, determine professional development needs, and to provide leadership and support to instructional staff.
