COMMUNICATIONS

New Start, New Direction:  Peninsula School District (PSD) has a unique opportunity to engage with 29,000 area constituents recognizing that only approximately 5000 are currently involved with schools.

PSD serves a wide geographic area covering 120 square miles, 2 peninsulas, and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

We will define our value by strengthening relationships with all stakeholders, our students, families, teachers, staff, Board members, associations, local businesses, retirees, public officials, news media and community leaders.  We recognize that informal communication can be just as powerful as formal messages.

We will define our value by strengthening relationships with all stakeholders, our students, families, teachers, staff, Board members, associations, local businesses, retirees, public officials, news media and community leaders.  We recognize that informal communication can be just as powerful as formal messages.

We will strive to maintain a culture where each of us understands our role and responsibility for communication with stakeholders via our guiding principals that are:

  • Collaborative
  • Supportive
  • Consistent
  • Proactive
  • Visible/Accessible
  • Trustworthy/Accurate
  • Responsive

Our plan lays out the how (Strategies & Actions)  of the communications for the coming year.
