Smarter Balanced Assessments for High School Juniors
Students in 11th grade who have not previously passed both of the high school Smarter Balanced Assessments (achieving a level 3 or 4 – College and Career Ready score in each) are required to take them this spring. These tests measure high school learning standards in English language arts and mathematics and are used for state and federal accountability, as well as for assessment graduation requirements.
If you are a part or full-time Running Start student, coordinating with your high school to take these tests may be difficult or impossible without interfering with your college course schedule. Therefore, we are coordinating with TCC to provide an additional Smarter Balanced testing opportunity on March 28, 29, and 30 to coordinate with the college quarter break. Testing will take place a the TCC Gig Harbor campus; there are five different sessions to choose from. To reserve your spot for the March testing, please complete this registration form: Smarter Balanced Testing – Running Start registration
