Henderson Bay High School is a “school of choice” that offers a unique experience for students looking for a different option than the large traditional high school. We are a small school in a modern facility, serving students in grades 9-12.
What makes us different?
- Small class sizes- most classes have 10-14 students, compared to 30 or more at the comprehensive high schools. Students can feel comfortable with their teacher and their peers in this small setting.
- Personalized approach- with the small class sizes, students can get personal attention from teachers. Teachers are invested in the success of each student.
- Relationship oriented- teachers get to know students on an individual level. With small class sizes, teachers can connect with each student. Students are assigned a “Core” teacher when they enroll. This is someone that will guide and support them during their enrollment at HBHS.
- Positive and supportive students- students at HBHS accept each other for who they are. Our students feel free to express themselves however they choose, free from bullying and judgment. You get to be you
