Vaping gives tobacco a boost in popularity
Read this month’s Table Talk to join Kopachuck in our goal of diminishing teenage vaping.
3 ½ weeks until school
Students that are enrolled in choir, intermediate band or advanced band are encouraged to train those facial muscles and lungs to be ready for daily rehearsals. Start singing in the shower and dust off those instruments! In addition, we encourage student athletes to gradually work those muscles so that they can stay injury-free during the fall sports season. Lastly, get those eyes used to reading and find a book to read before the summer is over.
Be in the Know
Get a glimpse of school life when you join Kopachuck’s Facebook community. This might give you ideas for topics of conversation with your teenager and will help you stay connected. To join, go to Kopachuck’s homepage https://psd401.net/kms/, then scroll down, and click on the Facebook link.
Off to a Running Start
The first day of practice for Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, and Boys Soccer is Tuesday, September 3rd. Participation forms, which can be picked up from the kiosk outside the main office, must be turned into the main office by Friday, August 30th. Please note that Soccer and Volleyball are open to 7th and 8th graders only, but students of all grades – including our incoming 6th graders- can participate in Cross Country.
What School Supplies Are Needed?
We caution parents from referring to retailers’ lists of school supplies because these may not correspond with what is needed at individual schools. For back-to-school shopping, please look at Kopachuck’s supply lists for each grade.
