This program will be an affiliate of ANEW’s Recognized Pre-Apprenticeship and is partnering with employers such as Sound Transit.
Students will have training in several certifications including OSHA 10, First Aid and CPR, Flagger, Forklift and Scissor lift. Students will learn tool identification and how to use them safely, math and science as it relates to skilled trades, and will work on modules in electrical, construction, masonry, plumbing, and welding, as well as understand the importance of fitness.
Students will work together to construct a building such as a tiny house. Participation in this program will expose students directly with apprenticeship training facilities and potential employers. Some programs will come to our classroom and help with instruction and mentoring.
