Students of Distinction 2019
The Students of Distinction recognition and scholarship program application forms for 2019 are now available.
Founded in 2003 by the Peninsula Gateway, and now under the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, The Students of Distinction program has honored hundreds of graduating seniors from the Peninsula School District.
After being selected by a panel at each school, winners will be honored at a dinner at Ocean5, profiled in the Peninsula Gateway, receive a $250 scholarship, and presented with a medallion they may wear to their graduation ceremony. Following interviews with community leaders, one individual in each category will receive an additional $250 scholarship and plaque.
*Applicants are welcome to apply in more than one category.
*Applications are due to your school office by February 15, by 2 PM. (Friday before mid-winter break).
*Winners will be notified on or before March 1.
*The banquet for Students of Distinction is Wednesday, May 22, 6:00PM at Ocean5. Winners will be provided a complimentary dinner. All other attendees (parents, etc.) will have the opportunity to purchase tickets online.

What do you do with completed applications?
1. Turn in a printed copy of your completed application and one or more letters of recommendation from an instructor, mentor, coach or teacher to your school office. Copies of letters from your scholarship notebooks are acceptable.
2. Send an electronic version of your application and letter(s) of recommendation as attachments with “Students of Distinction” in the subject line to: Weymillerk@psd401.net
