Hello Vaughn Families,
October has been a busy month! We enjoyed meeting with families to share and discuss student goals at our conferences last week. Thank you for taking the time for this important partnership in your student’s education.
This month we had our annual Taproot Theatre presentation. This year’s play was called “Super School,” and the focus was on how to prevent bullying. Students learned to recognize, report and refuse bullying in addition to what to do as a bystander. We appreciate our partnership with Communities in Schools who bring this professional theatre group to Vaughn each year.
We will have a fall parade taking place for Kindergarten through 5th grade on October 31st at 2:45. Students may bring a costume to school in a bag and will change shortly before the parade. As a reminder, costumes should be appropriate for the elementary school setting including no masks, weapons, no scary, violent, or bloody images please, as this is a school/family friendly event. Thank you for your cooperation.
It’s hard to believe it’s almost November! Veteran’s day is just around the corner. Join us as the third grade class presentes the Veteran’s Day Salute. Mrs. Mills our music teacher has been working with our 3rd graders for their upcoming performance on Thursday, November 8th at 9:30am and 6:00pm. The Key Peninsula Veteran’s will be here to perform as we thank all those who have served our country. There will be no school on November 12th as we observe Veteran’s Day.
