This designation shows that we are a military-friendly school district and have specifically trained our staff to understand, help transition, and support our military students. To receive the award, school districts must successfully address the educational, social, and emotional barriers that students may experience when their parents/guardians are deployed or when relocating and transferring to a different school. School districts must also demonstrate a commitment to military-connected families and students by providing students with the tools and supports needed for success in their education and in their futures—whether they pursue postsecondary education, military involvement, or other careers.

Relocating to a new community and starting fresh at a new school can be stressful. Our goal is to ease your transition into or out of our district by supporting the unique needs of your military family.  Peninsula School District recognizes that Military Families face unique challenges, and our district strives to do all that is possible to help our students and their families throughout the school year.
