PSD Schools Earn Top Rankings from U.S. News & World Report

We are thrilled to announce that 7 of our elementary schools and 2 of our middle schools have been ranked in the top 40% of all schools in the state of Washington by the U.S. News & World Report.

The U.S. News & World Report K-12 school rankings are based on a comprehensive assessment of academic performance, focusing on factors such as math and reading proficiency, student performance on state assessments, and the success of historically underserved student groups.

"We are incredibly proud to have so many of our schools recognized for their excellence by a respected national publication like U.S. News & World Report," said Superintendent Kresitn Bahr. "This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, staff, students, and families across the district."

U.S. News & World Report's methodology for the K-12 rankings includes analyzing data on factors such as proficiency on state assessments, graduation rates, and how well schools educate different types of students, including those from low-income families. Schools are awarded an overall score out of 100 points, and the top-scoring schools within each state are ranked accordingly.
