Student Transfers
Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten
We understand that families may have different needs and preferences for their child's education. Our goal is to provide clear and accessible information to support your transfer requests within or outside our district.
2025-26 Transfers
Harbor Ridge Middle School:
Due to the growth in our boundaries, Harbor Ridge Middle School will not be accepting any new 2025-2026 transfer requests, including Within-District and NonResident.
Pioneer Elementary School:
Admission into Pioneer is based on a lottery system. The lottery for the 2025-26 has been completed and closed. For more information, see their webpage by clicking this link here.
NonResident Transfers In to Peninsula School District
Application window is April 1 – April 30 (new 2025-26)
- Submit application to the WA Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) on their CHOICE Portal and;
- Submit application to Peninsula School District (PSD) through supplied Google form.
- Notifications will go out to families by June 15th
- If needed, there will be a second review for requests on August 15, 2025.
- Any new request received after August 14, 2025 will not be considered until after the first ten school days, beginning September 17, 2025.
Within District Transfers

Military families: Please let your enrolling school know you are active military. We are a Purple Star District and will abide by the Interstate Compact guidelines.
Transfer Policy and Procedure
Policy 3130 and Procedure 3130P, titled “In-District Student Transfers”, identifies the guidelines for a resident student who wishes to transfer between schools within the Peninsula School District.
Policy 3141 and Procedure 3141P, titled “CHOICE Transfer for Out of District Students”, identifies the guidelines for a student who resides outside the district and wishes to attend a school in the Peninsula School District.
Policy 3140 indentifies the guidelines for a student who wishes to be released from the Peninsula School District to attend school in another school district.
