Peninsula School District Named a "Learning System to Watch" by AASA
We are excited to share that Peninsula School District has been recognized as a "Learning System to Watch" by AASA, The School Superintendents Association. This designation highlights our district’s commitment to early learning excellence and our efforts to set a strong foundation for our youngest learners.

Our focus on early literacy, social-emotional development, and unique outdoor learning programs exemplifies our dedication to educational innovation. We prioritize early learning as a crucial part of our strategic plan, ensuring each child has the support needed to succeed from their first steps in education.

We know if we want to reach our strategic plan goal of 100 percent of third grade students reading at grade level, early intervention is key. In 2022, Superintendent Krestin Bahr formed the Literacy Task force, which included educators, parents, and community members. The Literacy Task force studied best practices in early literacy, high quality instructional practices and curriculum resources. The task force helped establish our guiding principles for literacy instruction. We want to officially thank the members of this task force;
