DO-IT Scholars Program: College Prep Opportunity for Students with Disabilities
Dear PSD high school families,
We are excited to share information about the DO-IT Scholars program at the University of Washington, a fantastic opportunity for sophomores and juniors with disabilities to prepare for college success!
This fully-funded program includes:
  • Two summer residential experiences at UW where students:
    • Live in college dorms
    • Participate in hands-on labs and faculty lectures
    • Work on collaborative projects
    • Learn to navigate campus resources
  • A personal laptop and assistive technology support
  • Year-round mentoring and guidance
  • Support for college transition planning
  • Connections with a community of peers
There is NO COST for program materials, housing, meals, or accommodations. Support for travel expenses and personal care assistants may be available.
Eligible students must:
  • Be a current sophomore or junior
  • Have a disability
  • Live or attend school in Washington state
  • Plan to continue their education after high school

    • No.
  • Students with what types of disabilities are eligible to apply?
    • Scholars can have any type of disability recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act, including both those with or without IEP or 504 plans.
  • Should applicants have specific academic interests?
    • No, we accept students with a variety of academic interests and career goals.
