High School and Beyond Plan: Moving to SchoolLinks

Every student in Washington State must complete a High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) to graduate. This plan helps students connect their career interests with their schoolwork. It makes sure they are ready for what they want to do after high school, whether that's going to college, technical school, or getting a job.

Students in the Peninsula School District (PSD) start working on their HSBP in 7th grade. The plan includes their school goals, career interests, course plans, and how to write a resume. To make this planning process better, PSD is changing from the Naviance platform to SchooLinks. This change will start with the next registration period. It will make the experience more fun and easier to use for students and families.

Family involvement is very important for students' High School and Beyond Plans. When families and students work together, they can:
  • Set goals for school that are important and make students want to learn more
  • Learn about different jobs and opportunities
  • Choose classes that help them reach their goals after high school

SchooLinks will give students and families better tools to learn about jobs and plan for school. We will share more information about this soon. Learn about our Career and Technical Education pathways at www.psd401.net/cte.
