IMPORTANT: Introducing SchooLinks, PSD’s new tool for student course selection, post-secondary planning

Dear PSD families,

This letter is to inform you about an exciting change for the upcoming school year. PSD is transitioning from Naviance to SchooLinks as our course selection and college and career readiness platform. 

SchooLinks is a modern, comprehensive platform that will be used by students in grades 8 - 11 this year to select courses for the 2025-2026 school year, create High School and Beyond Plans, and explore post-secondary options. 

What is SchooLinks?

SchooLinks is a user-friendly platform that provides a wide range of features to support students as they plan for their futures. SchooLinks will enable students to: 
  • Discover their interests and strengths through interactive surveys and quizzes. 
  • Explore 2-year and 4-year colleges through virtual reality college campus tours and detailed college profiles.
  • Research traditional, emerging, and military career fields. 
  • Learn about financial aid and search for scholarships.
  • Create course plans aligned with their chosen career pathways. 
  • Develop digital portfolios and resumes. 
SchooLinks also provides helpful resources for parents/guardians: 
  • Access to view your student’s assessment results, course plans, favorite colleges, and career goals. 
  • A personalized dashboard with upcoming events, reminders, and to-dos. 
  • Tools to research colleges and careers, compare college costs, and explore financial aid and scholarship options. 
Why does my student need a High School and Beyond Plan?

The High School and Beyond Plan is a state graduation requirement. SchooLinks will help students create and maintain this personalized plan to guide their high school experience and prepare them for post-secondary success. 

We understand that you may have questions about the transition to SchooLinks. Please know that we are committed to providing a smooth experience for all students and families. More information about accessing SchooLinks and support resources will be shared as the school year approaches. This communication will be shared via ParentSquare, your school’s website, and your student’s school counselor.
